A copper sink is an investment, and a good one at that. However, the most common worry people have when they purchase a copper sink is how they should care for it. First, you should never use what are considered as “abrasive cleaners”. These are cleaners that are acidic, coarse or alcohol-based. Your best bet when it comes to maintaining the original condition of your copper sink is to clean it with hot soapy water and scrub with a very soft, nylon brush.

If you find that you have some stains that will not come off with soap and water, a mixture of baking soda and water can be applied with a sponge, then rinse the sink and dry it with a soft towel.

Copper, while beautiful and high quality can become stained and scratched should you not take proper care of it.
